²⁶ Jesus answered them, and said: Verily, verily I say to you, You seek me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were satisfied.

³ Jesus answered and said to him: Verily, verily I say to you, unless a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God.

⁵ Jesus answered: Verily, verily I say to you, unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God.

² And a great multitude followed him, because they had seen the signs which he did in the case of the sick.

¹⁸ For such serve not our Lord Christ, but their own appetites; and, by good words and fair speeches, they deceive the hearts of the simple.

³ You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your passions. ⁴ Adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friend ship of the world is enmity to God? Whoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.
