Revelation 3 Cross References - ABU

1 AND to the angel of the church in Sardis write: These things says he who has the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars. I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the remaining things, that were ready to die; for I have not found thy works complete before my God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received, and didst hear, and keep, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come upon thee. 4 But thou hast a few names in Sardis, which did not defile their garments; and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white garments; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, and I will acknowledge his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These things says the Holy, the True, he who has the key of David, he who opens, and no one shall shut, and shuts, and no one opens. 8 I know thy works. Behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which no one can shut; because thou hast little power and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name. 9 Behold, I make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie, behold, I will make them to come and bow down before thy feet, and to know that I loved thee. 10 Because thou didst keep my word of patient endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which is about to come upon the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth. 11 I come quickly; hold fast that which thou hast, that no one may take thy crown. 12 He that overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my new name. 13 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. 14 And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So, because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest: I am rich, and have gotten wealth, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art the wretched and the pitiable one, and poor, and blind, and naked; 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest be rich, and white garments, that thou mayest be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness not be made manifest, and to anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any one hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and I will sup with him and he with me. 21 He that overcomes, I will give to him to sit with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Brood of vipers! How can ye escape the judgment of hell? 34 Therefore, behold, I send forth to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; and some of them ye will kill and crucify, and some of them ye will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city; 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation. 37 Jerusalem! And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is that of an angel. 18 And the structure of its wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like to pure glass. 19 The foundation-stones of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone. The first foundation-stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; 20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, hyacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each several gate was of one pearl; and the street of the city was pure gold, as transparent glass. 22 And I saw in it no temple; for the Lord God the Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine on it; for the glory of God lightened it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations will walk by its light; and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it. 25 And its gates will not be shut by day; for there will be no night there; 26 and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 And there shall not enter into it any thing unclean, or that works abomination or falsehood; but they who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

20 And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and know all things. 21 I wrote not to you because ye do not know the truth, but because ye know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar, but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Every one that denies the Son, the same has not the Father; he that acknowledges the Son has also the Father. 24 What ye heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what ye heard from the beginning shall abide in you, ye also will abide in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise which he himself promised to us, the life eternal. 26 These things I wrote to you concerning those who seduce you. 27 And the anointing which ye received from him abides in you, and ye have no need that any one teach you; but, as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is truth, and is not a lie, and even as it taught you, abide in him.

5 and ye have forgotten the exhortation, which discourses with you as with sons: My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when reproved by him; 6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, And scourges every son whom he receives. 7 If ye endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chastens not? 8 But if ye are without chastening, of which all have been made partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we had fathers of our flesh, who chastened us, and we gave them reverence; shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now all chastening for the present indeed seems not joyous, but grievous; but afterward, it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness, to those who have been exercised thereby.

20 which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; 22 and subjected all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Philippians 2:9-21

9 Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave him a name which is above every name; 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of beings in heaven, and of beings on earth, and of beings under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to perform, of his good pleasure. 14 Do all without murmurings and disputings; 15 that ye may become blameless and simple, children of God, unreproachable, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye appear as do the heavenly lights in the world; 16 holding forth the word of life; for a ground of glorying to me at the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, or labor in vain. 17 But even if I am poured out on the sacrifice and ministration of your faith, I rejoice, and I rejoice with you all. 18 For the same cause, do ye also rejoice, and rejoice with me. 19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly to you, that I also may be cheered, when I know your state. 20 For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.
