1 O FOOLISH Galatians, who bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only I desire to learn from you: Was it from works of law that ye received the Spirit, or from the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? Having begun with the Spirit, are ye now being made perfect with the flesh?
4 Did ye suffer so many things in vain? If indeed it be in vain.
5 Does he, therefore, who supplies to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, do it from works of law, or from the hearing of faith?
6 As Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
7 Know then that they who are of faith, these are sons of Abraham.
8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God justifies the Gentiles by faith, announced beforehand the glad tidings to Abraham, saying: In thee shall all the nations be blessed.
9 So that they who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
10 For as many as are of works of law are under a curse; for it is written: Cursed is every one that continues not in all the things written in the book of the law, to do them.
11 And that in the law no one is justified with God, is evident; because, the just shall live by faith.
12 Now the law is not of faith; but, he that has done them shall live in them.
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; because it is written: Cursed is every one that is hanged on a tree;
14 that unto the Gentiles the blessing of Abraham might come in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men. If a covenant has been confirmed, though it be a man's, no one sets it aside, or adds thereto.
16 Now to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed. He says not, and to seeds, as concerning many; but as concerning one, and to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 But this I say, that a covenant before confirmed by God, the law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul, to make the promise of no effect.
18 For if the inheritance is of law, it is no more of promise; but God has freely given it to Abraham by promise.
19 What then is the law? It was added because of the transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made; having been ordained through angels, by the hand of a mediator.
20 Now the mediator is not of one; but God is one.
21 Is then the law against the promises of God? Far be it! For if a law had been given which is able to make alive, truly righteousness would have been of law.
22 But the Scripture shut up all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
23 But before faith came, we were guarded under law, shut up unto the faith which was to be revealed.
24 So that the law has become our schoolmaster, unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But faith having come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For all ye who were immersed unto Christ, did put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is no male and female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, heirs according to the promise.

Hebrews 10:32-39
32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were enlightened, ye endured a great contest of sufferings;
33 partly, whilst ye were made a spectacle both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became partakers with those who were so used.
34 For ye sympathized with those in bonds, and ye took joyfully the plundering of your goods, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better and an enduring substance.

Romans 4:3-6
3 For what says the Scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that works, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as a debt.
5 But to him that works not, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.
6 As also David speaks of the happiness of the man, to whom God reckons righteousness, apart from works:
Romans 4:9-11
9 Comes this happiness then on the circumcision, or also on he uncircumcision? For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10 How then was it reckoned? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all that believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them also,

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all that believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them also,
12 and father of circumcision to those who are not only of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham, which he had while in uncircumcision.
13 For not through law was the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they that are of law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect.
15 For the law works wrath; for where there is no law, neither is there transgression.
16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be by grace; in order that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

12 I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I possess.

12 So that the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

26 For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore, when he comes into the world, he says: Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;
6 In whole burnt-offerings, and sacrifices for sin, thou hadst no pleasure.
7 Then said I: Lo, I come, In the volume of the book it is written of me, To do thy will, O God.
8 Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, nor hadst pleasure therein, which are offered by the law,
9 then has he said: Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 In which will we have been sanctified, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
1 Peter 1:18-21
18 knowing that not with perishable things, silver and gold, ye were redeemed from your vain course of life received by tradition from your fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;
20 who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for you,
21 who through him believe on God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope are on God.

Acts 4:12
12 And there is salvation in no other; for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, in which we must be saved.
Acts 5:32
32 And we are his witnesses of these things, and the Holy Spirit also, which God gave to those who obey him.
Acts 11:15-16
Romans 4:3-17
3 For what says the Scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that works, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as a debt.
5 But to him that works not, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.
6 As also David speaks of the happiness of the man, to whom God reckons righteousness, apart from works:
7 Happy they, whose iniquities were forgiven, And whose sins were covered;
8 Happy the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin!
9 Comes this happiness then on the circumcision, or also on he uncircumcision? For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10 How then was it reckoned? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all that believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them also,
12 and father of circumcision to those who are not only of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham, which he had while in uncircumcision.
16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be by grace; in order that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (as it is written: A father of many nations have I made thee,) before God whom he believed, who quickens the dead, and calls the things that are not as though they were;
Romans 8:9-16
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. And if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ from the dead will also quicken your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwells in you.
12 So that, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13 For if ye live according to the flesh, ye shall die; but if by the Spirit ye mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God.
15 For ye did not receive the spirit of bondage, again to fear; but ye received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God;
Romans 8:26-27
26 And in like manner does the Spirit also help our weakness; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which can not be uttered.
27 And he who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 10:9-15
9 because, if thou shalt profess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth profession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says: Whoever believes on him shall not be put to shame.
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for the same is Lord of all, rich toward all that call upon him;
13 for every one who shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him on whom they believed not? And how shall they believe on him of whom they heard not? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, unless they are sent forth? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!
1 Corinthians 12:13
13 For by one Spirit we were all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.
2 Corinthians 1:22
22 he who also sealed us, and gave the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Galatians 3:5-9
5 Does he, therefore, who supplies to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, do it from works of law, or from the hearing of faith?
6 As Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
7 Know then that they who are of faith, these are sons of Abraham.
8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God justifies the Gentiles by faith, announced beforehand the glad tidings to Abraham, saying: In thee shall all the nations be blessed.
9 So that they who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

6 And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

15 but holding the truth, may in love grow up into him in all things, who is the head, Christ;

71 salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

73 the oath which he swore to Abraham our father,
74 to grant to us, that without fear, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, we should serve him,
75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
76 And also thou, O child, shalt be called Prophet of the Highest; for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord, to prepare his ways,
77 in order to give knowledge of salvation to his people in remission of their sins;
78 through the tender mercies of our God, whereby the dayspring from on high visited us,

14 saying: Surely, blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men indeed swear by the greater; and the oath is to them an end of all gainsaying, for a confirmation.
17 Wherein God, wishing more abundantly to show to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;

1 PAUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
Hebrews 6:13-17
13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, because he could swear by none greater, he swore by himself,
14 saying: Surely, blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men indeed swear by the greater; and the oath is to them an end of all gainsaying, for a confirmation.
17 Wherein God, wishing more abundantly to show to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;
2 Peter 1:4
4 through which he has given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through lust;
2 Peter 3:13
13 But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
1 John 2:25
25 And this is the promise which he himself promised to us, the life eternal.
1 John 3:23-24
1 John 5:11-13
Luke 10:23-24
Romans 3:19
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Romans 6:14-15
1 Corinthians 9:20-21
Galatians 3:19
19 What then is the law? It was added because of the transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made; having been ordained through angels, by the hand of a mediator.
Galatians 4:1-5
1 NOW I say, as long as the heir is a child, he differs in nothing from a servant though he is lord of all;
2 but is under guardians and stewards, until the time appointed by the father.
3 So also we, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elements of the world.
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his son, born of a woman, born under law,
5 that he might redeem those under law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Galatians 4:21
21 Tell me, ye who desire to be under law, do ye not hear the law?
Galatians 5:18
18 But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under law.
Hebrews 12:2
2 looking away to the author and finisher of the faith, Jesus; who for the joy set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down on the right hand of the throne of God.
Matthew 5:17-18
Acts 13:38-39
Romans 7:7-9
7 What then shall we say? Is the law sin? Far be it! But I had not known sin, except through law; for I had not known coveting, if the law had not said: Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of coveting. For without law, sin is dead.
9 And I was alive without law once; but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Romans 7:24-25
Romans 10:4
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness, to every one that believes.
1 Corinthians 4:15
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I begot you through the gospel.
Galatians 3:25
25 But faith having come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Galatians 4:2-3
Colossians 2:17
17 which are a shadow of the things to come, but the body is of Christ.
Hebrews 9:8-16
8 the Holy Spirit signifying this, that the way into the holy places has not yet been made manifest, while the first tabernacle is yet standing;
9 which is a figure for the time present, under which are offered both gifts and sacrifices, unable as to the conscience to perfect the worshiper;
10 only with meats and drinks, and divers immersions, ordinances of the flesh, imposed until the time of reformation.
11 But Christ, having come as a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands (that is, not of this creation),
12 and not through the blood of goats and calves but through his own blood, entered once for all into the holy places, obtaining eternal redemption.
13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctifies to the purity of the flesh;
14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is mediator of a new covenant, in order that, death having taken place, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, they who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be brought in the death of the testator.
Hebrews 10:1-14
1 FOR the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never, with the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually, make those who come to them perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers would have had no more consciousness of sins, having once been cleansed?
3 But in them there is a remembrance of sins year by year.
4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore, when he comes into the world, he says: Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;
6 In whole burnt-offerings, and sacrifices for sin, thou hadst no pleasure.
11 And every priest indeed stands daily ministering, and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;
12 but he, having offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever sat down on the right hand of God;
13 from henceforth expecting until his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are sanctified.
Romans 6:14
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under law, but under grace.
Romans 7:4
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, in order that ye should be married to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.
Galatians 4:1-6
1 NOW I say, as long as the heir is a child, he differs in nothing from a servant though he is lord of all;
2 but is under guardians and stewards, until the time appointed by the father.
3 So also we, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elements of the world.
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his son, born of a woman, born under law,
5 that he might redeem those under law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Hebrews 7:11-19
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there that a different priest should arise, after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there comes also a change of law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to a different tribe, of which no one has given attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord has arisen out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.
15 And it is yet more abundantly manifest, if after the similitude of Melchizedek there arises a different priest,
Hebrews 8:3-13
3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; wherefore it is necessary, that this one have something which he may offer.
4 For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, since there are those who offer gifts according to the law,
5 who minister after an outline and a shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God, when he was about to make the tabernacle; for, See, says he, that thou make all things according to the pattern which was showed thee in the mount.
6 But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is also mediator of a better covenant, which has been established upon better promises.
7 For if that first had been faultless, a place would not have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he says: Behold the days are coming, saith the Lord, When I will make with the house of Israel, And with the house of Judah, a new covenant;
9 Not according to the covenant that I made for their fathers, In the day when I took hold of their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt; Because they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will establish for the house of Israel, After those days, saith the Lord, Putting my laws into their mind, And on their hearts I will write them; And I will be to them a God, And they shall be to me a people;
11 And they shall not teach, Each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, Saying: Know the Lord; Because all shall know me, from the least to the greatest;
12 Because I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, And their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more.
13 In that he says, A new, he has made the first old. Now that which is grown old, and worn out with age, is ready to vanish away.
Hebrews 10:15-18
15 Moreover, the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us; for after he had said,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, putting my laws upon their hearts, and on their minds I will write them, [he further says,]
17 and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.
18 But where there is remission of these, there is no longer offering for sin.
John 1:12-13
John 20:17
17 Jesus says to her: Touch me not; for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say to them: I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.
Romans 8:14-17
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God.
15 For ye did not receive the spirit of bondage, again to fear; but ye received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God;
17 and if children, also heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
2 Corinthians 6:18
18 and will be to you a Father, and ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Philippians 2:15
15 that ye may become blameless and simple, children of God, unreproachable, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye appear as do the heavenly lights in the world;
Hebrews 2:10-15
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 saying: I will declare thy name to my brethren; In the midst of the congregation I will sing praise to thee.
13 And again: I will put my trust in him. And again: Behold, I and the children whom God gave me.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner took part in the same; that through death he might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the Devil;
15 and might deliver those who, through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
1 John 3:1-2
1 BEHOLD what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. For this cause the world knows not us, because it knew not him.
2 Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it was never yet manifested what we shall be. We know that if it shall be manifested, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

37 And Philip said: If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And answering he said: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded that the chariot should stop. And they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he immersed him.
Acts 9:18
18 And immediately there fell off from his eyes as it were scales; and he received sight, and arose, and was immersed;

15 And when she was immersed and her household, she besought us, saying: If ye have judged me to be a believer in the Lord, come into my house, and abide. And she constrained us.
Acts 16:31-33
31 And they said: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spoke to him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And taking them along, the same hour of the night, he washed their stripes; and was immersed, himself and all his, immediately.

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all that believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them also,

Galatians 5:6
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith working by love.
Ephesians 2:13-22
13 But now, in Christ Jesus, ye, who in time past were afar off, were made near by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of partition;
15 having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might make the two one new man in himself, making peace;
16 and might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby.
17 And he came and brought the good news of peace to you who were afar off, and to those who were near.
18 Because through him we both have the access in one Spirit to the Father.
19 So then ye are no longer strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner-stone;

22 in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

7 whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, which was given to me according to the working of his power.
8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, was this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 and to make all see what is the dispensation of the mystery, which from ages has been hidden in God, who created all things;
10 that now, to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Romans 4:16-21
16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be by grace; in order that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (as it is written: A father of many nations have I made thee,) before God whom he believed, who quickens the dead, and calls the things that are not as though they were;
18 who against hope believed in hope, that he should become father of many nations, according to that which was spoken: So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body already dead, being about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah's womb.
20 And in respect to the promise of God he wavered not through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God,
21 and being fully persuaded, that what he has promised he is able also to perform.

Galatians 4:7
7 So that thou art no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, also an heir through God.
Galatians 4:22-31
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman, and one by the freewoman.
23 But the one by the bondwoman was born after the flesh, and the one by the freewoman through the promise.
24 Which things are an allegory. For these women are two covenants, one from mount Sinai, bearing children into bondage,
25 which is Hagar (for the word Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia), and answers to the Jerusalem that now is, for she is in bondage with her children.
26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27 For it is written: Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not; Because many are the children of the desolate, rather than of her who has the husband.
28 But ye, brethren, after the manner of Isaac, are children of promise.
29 But as then, the one born after the flesh persecuted the one born after the spirit, so also is it now.
30 But what says the Scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son; for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free-woman.
31 So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the freewoman.
