Revelation 18:18-24

Worsley(i) 18 and cried out, when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like to this great city? 19 And they threw dust on their heads, and cried out, weeping and moaning, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all that had ships at sea were enriched by her sumptuous expences! for in one hour she is become desolate. 20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets, for God hath avenged you on her. 21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great milstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus shall the great city Babylon be thrown down with violence, and never be found more. 22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard in thee no more: and no artist of any art whatsoever shall be found in thee any more; and the sound of a milstone shall be heard in thee no more. 23 And the light of a candle shall be seen in thee no more; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride shall be heard no more in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth, and by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24 And herein was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
