Revelation 18:18-24

Lamsa(i) 18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like to this great city! 19 And they threw dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Woe, woe, that great city, where all who had ships on the sea were made rich by reason of her preciousness! for in one hour she is destroyed. 20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and angels, apostles, and prophets, for God has avenged you on her. 21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, So shall that great city Babylon be overthrown with violence, and shall be found no more at all. 22 And the sound of harpers, and musicians, and singers and trumpeters, shall not be heard in you again; and no craftsman, of whatever craft he be shall be found any more in you; 23 And the light of a lamp shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you: for your merchants were the great men of the earth; for by your sorceries were all peoples deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all who were slain upon the earth.
