Luke 22:56-62

Williams(i) 56 A servant girl saw him sitting by the fire and fixed her eyes on him and said, "This fellow was with Him too." 57 But he denied it and said, "I do not know Him, woman." 58 A little later a man looked at him and said, "You are one of them too." But Peter said, "Man, I am not." 59 About an hour later another man emphatically asserted, "He certainly was with Him, for he is a Galilean!" 60 But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you mean." And all at once, while he was still speaking, a cock crowed. 61 Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter, and Peter was reminded of the word that the Lord had spoken to him, "Before a cock crows today, you will disown me three times." 62 And he went outside and burst into bitter tears.
