Acts 23:33-24:3

Williams(i) 33 they, on reaching Caesarea, delivered the letter to the governor and turned Paul over to him, too. 34 He read the letter and asked Paul what province he was from, and on learning that he was from Cilicia, 35 he said, "I will carefully hear your case as soon as your accusers arrive." Then he ordered him to be kept in custody in Herod's palace. 24 1 Five days later, the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a prosecuting attorney, Tertullus, and through him they presented their case against Paul before the governor. 2 When Paul was called, Tertullus opened the prosecution by saying: "Your Excellency, Felix, since we are enjoying perfect peace through you and since reforms for this nation are being brought about through your foresight, 3 we always and everywhere acknowledge it with profound gratitude.
