They are all acting contrary to the Emperor's decrees, because they claim there is another king, Jesus." ⁸ Thus they wrought up to great excitement the crowd and the town magistrates, on their hearing this, ⁹ and they made Jason and the other brothers give bond, and then turned them loose. ¹⁰ That night at once the brothers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea, and on arriving there they went to the Jewish synagogue.
