Luke 22:24-30 And there was also a strife among them, who should be the greatest.

Whiston⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁴ And there was also a strife among them, who should be the greatest. ²⁵ But be said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and they that exercise authority over them, are called benefactors. ²⁶ But ye [shall] not [be] so; but he that is greatest among you let him be as the least;and the servant more than he who sitteth down. ²⁷ For I am come in the midst of you, not as he who sitteth down, but, as he that serveth. ²⁸ And you are increased in my ministration, as he that serveth; who have continued with me in my temptations. ²⁹ And I appointed unto you a kingdom, as the Father hath appointed unto me: ³⁰ That ye may eat and drink at my table in the kingdom, and sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
