WPNT⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹¹ So in answer He said to them: “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to them it has not been given. ¹² For whoever has, to him more will be given and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. ¹³ Therefore I speak to them in parables, that seeing they not see and hearing they not hear nor understand. ¹⁴ And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘By hearing you (ye) will hear and not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive. ¹⁵ Because the \up6 a\up0 hearts of this people have grown dull, and their \up6 b\up0 ears hard of hearing, and their \up6 c\up0 eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their \up6 c\up0 eyes and hear with their \up6 b\up0 ears and understand with their \up6 a\up0 hearts, and turn around; and I would heal them.’ ¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear; ¹⁷ for assuredly I say to you that many prophets and righteous ones desired to see what you see and did not see it, and to hear what you hear and did not hear it.
