Luke 7:2-10

VIN(i) 2 There a centurion's servant, whom he valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews to him, begging him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus they begged him earnestly, saying, "He deserves to have this done, 5 for he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. 7 Therefore I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes; and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.” 9 When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turning to the crowd following Him, He said, "I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!" 10 Those who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.
