VIN⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁹ "Command Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the regulation of the burnt offering: The burnt offering must remain on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning, and the altar's fire must be kept burning on it. ¹⁰ And the priest shall put on his linen robe, and he must put his linen undergarments on his body, and he shall take away the fatty ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar, and he shall place them beside the altar. ¹¹ He shall take off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. ¹² The fire on the altar is to be kept burning; it is never to go out; every morning the priest is to put wood on it, placing the burned offering in order on it, and there the fat of the peace-offering is to be burned. ¹³ Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.
