Like birds flying overhead, so the LORD Almighty will protect Jerusalem; he will protect and deliver it; he will pass over and rescue it.
Return as you had deeply revolted, O children of Israel.
When that day comes, all of you will reject the worthless gods of silver and gold, the idols that your sinful hands have made.
And Assyria shall fall by a sword not of a man, and a sword not of a human shall devour him; and he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be put to forced labor.
And his rock will pass away because of terror and his rulers will be dismayed at the ensign, says the LORD, whose fire is in Zion and his furnace in Jerusalem.
