VIN⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹² The official who had gone to get Micaiah said to him: All the other prophets have prophesied success for the king. You had better do the same. ¹³ Micaiah said, “As the LORD lives, I will say what my God says.” ¹⁴ And he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go up to Ramoth-gilead to battle or shall I forbear? And he said, Go up and prosper, for they will be given into your hand. ¹⁵ The king said to him, "How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?" ¹⁶ Micaiah answered: "I can see the army of Israel scattered over the hills like sheep without a shepherd." the LORD said: "These men have no leader. Let them go home in peace." ¹⁷ Then the king of Israel told Jehoshaphat, "Didn't I tell you that he wouldn't prophesy anything good about me, but only evil?"
