Therefore rejoice ye heavens and ye who dwell in them. Alas! for the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! for the devil is gone down to you in great wrath knowing that he hath but a little time.
And when the dragon saw that he was cast on the earth he persecuted the woman who had brought forth the masculine child;
and to the woman were given two wings of the great eagle that she might fly to the wilderness to her place where she is nourished for a time and times and the half of a time from the face of the serpent.
And the serpent spouted out of his mouth after the woman water like a river that she might be swept away by the stream;
and the earth helped the woman; and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the torrent which the dragon spouted out of his mouth:
and the dragon was enraged at the woman and went to make war against the rest of her seed them who were keeping the commandments of God and maintaining the testimony of Jesus Christ.
