Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ² the chiefs of Israel, the twelve chiefs of the houses of their head families who were the chiefs of the tribes, the same who attended at the review, made an offering, ³ and brought as their gifts before the Lord, six covered waggons, and twelve oxen, a waggon from two chiefs, and an ox from each one. And when they had brought them before the Lord, ⁴ the Lord spoke to Moses saying, ⁵ Receive them from them, and they shall be for the works of the service of the tabernacle of the testimony; and thou shalt give them to the Levites, to each community according to their service. ⁶ So Moses, having taken the waggons and the oxen, gave them to the Levites;
