Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹³ Charge the children of Israel saying, See that you keep my sabbaths. It is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifieth you; ¹⁴ therefore you shall keep the sabbath, because it is holy to the Lord for you. He who profaneth it shall surely be put to death. Whoever shall do any work on it, that person shall be rooted out from among his people. ¹⁵ Six days thou shalt perform works, but on the seventh day are the sabbaths, a rest holy to the Lord. Whoever shall do any work on the seventh day shall be put to death. ¹⁶ Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbaths and cause them to be kept throughout their generations. It is an everlasting covenant between me and the children of Israel.
