25 Now this is what is written, Mane, Thekel, Phares.
26 The interpretation of the decree is this. Mane; God hath measured thy kingdom and brought it to a conclusion.
27 Thekel; It hath been weighed in a balance and found wanting.
28 Phares; Thy kingdom is taken away and given to Medes and Persians.
29 Then Baltasar gave orders and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold about his neck, and proclamation was made concerning him that he was a chief, third in rank, in the kingdom.
