5 And on the morrow their rulers, and elders, and Scribes at Jerusalem assembled,
6 with Annas the chief priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the pontifical family;
7 and having set them in the midst, they asked by what power, or by what name, have you done this?
8 Then Peter being filled with a holy spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel,
9 if we are this day examined for a good deed done to an infirm man, by what means he hath been healed,
10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified; whom God raised from the dead by him this man standeth before you, perfectly cured.
11 This is the stone that was rejected by you the builders, which was for the head of the corner.
