Riverside(i)
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has life eternal, and I will raise him up on the last day.
For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I abide in him.
As the living Father sent me and I am living because of the Father, so he who eats me — he will live because of me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven, not such as your fathers ate and died. He who eats this bread will live forever."

Many of his disciples, after hearing him, said, "This is a hard doctrine. Who can listen to it?"
Jesus, knowing in his own mind that his disciples were muttering about this, said to them, "Does this make you stumble?
What if you behold the Son of Man ascending where he was before?
The spirit is what gives life; the flesh is of no account. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
