1 John 5:1-5 EVERY one who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and every one who loves the father who gave him life loves every one who has received life from that father.

Riverside⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ EVERY one who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and every one who loves the father who gave him life loves every one who has received life from that father. ² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commands. ³ For this is the love of God, our keeping his commands. And his commands are not burden-some, ⁴ because all that is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world, our faith. ⁵ Who is the conqueror of the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
