NSB⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁴ He chose us through him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love. ⁵ He predetermined (ordained) us to adoption, as sons to himself through Jesus Christ, according to the kind intention of his will. ⁶ This is to the praise of the glory of his kindness, with which he freely honored us, the loved ones. ⁷ In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. ⁸ He made this undeserved kindness abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence (insight). ⁹ He made known to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure and purpose. ¹⁰ It was for an administration at the appointed time. This administration is to gather up all things in Christ, the things in heaven, and the things upon the earth. Yes in him! ¹¹ We were assigned as heirs predetermined according to his purpose. He works all things according to his direction and will.
