Are not ye more important than they? ²⁷ And who of you that shall be anxious, can add to his stature a cubit? ²⁸ And about raiment, why are ye anxious? Consider the lilies of the desert, in what manner they grow. They toil not; and they spin not. ²⁹ Yet I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory, was arrayed like one of them. ³⁰ And if God so clothe the grass of the field, which exists to-day, and tomorrow falls into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, ye small in faith? ³¹ Therefore be not anxious; nor say, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink; or wherewith be clothed? ³² For, all these things the people of the world seek after. And your Father, who is in heaven, knoweth that all these things are needful to you. ³³ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added to you.
