1 And the Philistines fought against Israel. And the men of Israel fled before the Philistines and were overthrown and slain in mount Gilboa.
2 And the Philistines followed Saul and his sons and slew Jonathan, Abinadab and Malchishua the sons of Saul.
3 And the battle went sore against Saul, insomuch that the shooters met him, and he was wounded of the shooters.
4 Then said Saul to his weapon bearer, "Draw thy sword and thrust me through therewith, that these uncircumcised come not and do me shame." And his weapon bearer would not, but feared exceedingly. Whereupon, Saul caught a sword and fell upon it.
5 And when his harness bearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell on a sword also and died.
6 And thus Saul and his three sons and all his house died together.
