MNT⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁴⁶ But at three o'clock Jesus cried out in loud voice, "Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani?" (That is to say, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?") ⁴⁷ When they heard this, some of the bystanders said "He is calling for Elijah!" ⁴⁸ At once, one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filling it with vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. ⁴⁹ But the rest said: "Let be! Let us see whether Elijah is coming to save him!" ⁵⁰ And Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
