MLV(i)
Therefore I say, They have not tripped in order that they might fall, have they? Let it not happen! But salvation has come to the Gentiles in their trespass, that they might provoke them to jealousy.
Now if their trespass is the riches of the world and their loss is the riches of the Gentiles; how much more is their fullness?
For I speak to you who are Gentiles, inasmuch as I am indeed an apostle of Gentiles, I glorify my service;
if somehow I provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and might save some out of them.
For if the casting away of them is the reconciliation of the world, what is the receiving of them, except life from the dead?
Now if the first-fruit is holy, also is the batch and if the root is holy, also are the branches. 17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became a fellow partner of the root and of the plumpness of the olive tree among them. 18 Do not boast against the branches, but if you are boasting against them, you are not bearing the root, but the root bears you. 19 Therefore you will say, Branches were broken off, in order that I might be grafted in.
