Luke 16:20-25

MLV(i) 20 Now there was a certain poor man, Lazarus by name, who had been put at his gate, having been full of sores, 21 and desiring to be fed from the falling crumbs of the rich man’s table. But even the dogs, coming to him, were licking his sores. 22 Now it happened, that the poor man died and that he was carried away by the messengers into Abraham’s bosom, and the rich man also died and was buried. 23 And in Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and he sees Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And having shouted, he said, Father Abraham, show-mercy to me, and send Lazarus in order that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and may cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Child, remember that you received your good things in your life and Lazarus likewise evil things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.
