Acts 2:31-41

MLV(i) 31 Foreseeing this, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was his soul left to Hades, nor did his flesh see decay. 32 This Jesus, God raised up, of whom we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted by the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he has poured out this, which you are seeing and hearing now. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, 35 until I should place your enemies as the footstool of your feet.’ 36 Therefore, let all the house of Israel know with certainty, that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pierced in their heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?
38 Now Peter said to them, Repent and be immersed each one of you in the name of Jesus Christ into the forgiveness of your sins, and you will be receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. \super{F} 39 For the promise is to you and to your children and to all those at afar off, as many as the Lord our God may call. 40 Now he was thoroughly testifying and encouraging them with many other words, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation. 41 Therefore indeed, they, who gladly accepted his word, were immersed, and approximately three thousand souls was added to them in that day.
