Daniel 5:6-9

Leeser(i) 6 Then was the king’s color changed, and his thoughts troubled him: so that the bands of his loins were loosed, and his knees knocked one against the other. 7 the king called with might to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king commenced, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whatsoever man will read this writing, and tell me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall rule as the third in the kingdom. 8 Then came in all the wise men of the king; but they were not able to read the writing, nor to make its interpretation known to the king. 9 Then was king Belshazzar greatly terrified, and his color was changed on him, and his lords were confounded.
