Galatians 2:9-14

Lamsa(i) 9 And when they knew that the grace had been given to me, then James, Cephas, and John, who were considered to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship; that we might labor among the Gentiles, and they, among the people of circumcision. 10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; and that I have endeavored to do. 11 But when Cephas came to AnÆti-och, I reproved him to his face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before certain men came from James, Cephas ate with the Gentiles: but after they came, he withdrew and separated himself, because he was afraid of them who belonged to the circumcision. 13 And all the other Jewish converts cast their lots with him on this issue, insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away by their dissimulation. 14 But when I saw that they were not following uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter, in the presence of them all, If you being a Jew live after the manner of Gentiles and not as do the Jews, why do you compel the Gentile converts to live as do the Jews?
