Ephesians 2:12-18 At that time you were without Christ, being aliens to the customs of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope, and without God in the world.

Lamsa⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹² At that time you were without Christ, being aliens to the customs of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope, and without God in the world. ¹³ But now, through Jesus Christ, you who sometimes were far off are brought near by the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the fence of separation between them; ¹⁵ And he has abolished by his precious body, the enmity between them, and he has abolished by his commandments, the ordinances of the law, that he may create, in his person, from the two, a new man, thus making peace; ¹⁶ And he reconciled both in one body with God, and with his cross he destroyed the enmity: ¹⁷ And he came and preached peace to you who are far away and to those who are near. ¹⁸ Through him we both are able to draw near by one Spirit to the Father.
