Andrew the brother of Simon Peter was one of the two who heard from John and was following Him.
This one first found his own brother Simon and tells him, We have found the Messiah (which being translated is, the Christ).
And he led him to Jesus. And looking at him, Jesus said, You are Simon the son of Jonah; you shall be called Cephas (which translated is Peter).
And on the morrow, Jesus desired to go out into Galilee. And He found Philip, and says to him, Follow me!
And Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
Philip finds Nathanael and said to him, We have found the One of whom Moses wrote in the Law and the Prophets, Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth.
And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing be out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said concerning him, Behold, truly an Israelite in whom is no guile!
Nathanael said to Him, From where do You know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called, you being under the fig tree, I saw you.
Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.
Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.
And He says to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you will see Heaven opened, and "the angels of God ascending and descending" on the Son of man. Gen. 28:12
