Matthew 27:50-56

Goodspeed(i) 50 But Jesus cried out again loudly, and gave up his spirit. 51 And at once the curtain of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split, 52 the tombs opened, and many of the saints who had fallen asleep rose 53 and left their tombs and after his resurrection went into the holy city and showed themselves to many people. 54 And the captain and the men with him who were watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and all that was happening, were dreadfully frightened and said, "He surely must have been a son of God!" 55 There were several women there watching from a distance who had followed Jesus from Galilee to wait upon him, 56 among them Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee's sons.
