Job 21:7-17

ECB(i) 7 Why do the wicked live? antiquate? - yes, prevail mightily in valour? 8 Their seed establishes at their face and their offspring at their eyes; 9 their houses are at shalom from dread, the scion of Elohah is not on them. 10 Their ox passes and loathes not; their heifer slips away and aborts not her calf. 11 They send forth their sucklings as a flock and their children dance; 12 they lift the tambourine and harp and cheer at the voice of the woodwind; 13 they wear away - finish off their days in good; and in a blink, descend to sheol. 14 They say to El, Turn from us; for we desire not the knowledge of your ways. 15 Who is Shadday, that we serve him? and what benefit have we if we intercede to him? 16 Behold, their good is not in their hand; the counsel of the wicked is far from me. 17 How often the lamp of the wicked extinguishes! And their calamity comes on them! He apportions pangs in his wrath;
