Job 18:8-16

ECB(i) 8 For he is sent into a net by his own feet and he walks on a netting; 9 the snare holds him by the heel and the robber prevails against him; 10 his cord is hidden in the earth - his trap in the path. 11 Terrors frighten him all around and scatter him to his feet; 12 his strength famishes and calamity prepares at his side. 13 It devours the strength of his veins - the firstbirthed of death devours his veins. 14 His confidence is torn from his tent and paces him to the sovereign of terrors. 15 It tabernacles in his tent without him; sulphur is winnowed on his habitation of rest. 16 His roots wither below and above his harvest is clipped:
