16 At that time, sovereign Achaz sends to help the sovereign of Ashshur:
17 and again the Edomiy come and smite Yah Hudah and capture captives:
18 and the Peleshethiy strip the cities of the lowlands and of the south of Yah Hudah and capture Beth Shemesh and Aijalon and Gederoth and Sochoh with the daughters thereof and Timnah with the daughters thereof and Gimzo and the daughters thereof: and there they settle.
19 For Yah Veh humbles Yah Hudah because of Achaz sovereign of Yisra El - for he exposed Yah Hudah and in treasoning, treasoned against Yah Veh.
20 And Tilgath Pileser sovereign of Ashshur comes to him and besieges him; but strengthens him not.
21 For Achaz allots of the house of Yah Veh and of the house of the sovereign and of the governors and gives it to the sovereign of Ashshur: but he helps him not:
