Diaglott⁽ⁱ⁾ ² As it is written in Esaias the prophet: Lo, I send the messenger of me before face of thee, who will prepare the way of thee. ³ A voice crying out in the desert; Make you ready the way of a lord, straight make you the beaten ways of him. ⁴ Was John dipping in the desert, and publishing a dipping of reformation into forgiveness of sins. ⁵ And went out to him all the Judea country, and the Jerusalem all; and were dipped in the Jordan river by him, confessing the sins of them.
