 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,
 but as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct;
 because it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
 If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your exile on earth.
 You know that you were redeemed from the futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,
 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
 He was destined before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
 Through him you have confidence in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
