CLV(i)
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses on mount Sinai, saying.
2 Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them:When you come into the land that I am giving to you, the land will pause for a sabbath to Yahweh.
3 Six years shall you sow your field, and six years shall you prune your vineyard and gather its yield.
4 Yet in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of cessation for the land, a sabbath to Yahweh. Your field you shall not sow, and your vineyard you shall not prune;"
5 The self-sown of your harvest you shall not reap, and the grapes of your untrimmed vines you shall not pick. A year of cessation shall it be for the land.
6 Yet the sabbath yield of the land you will come to have as food for you, for your servant and for your maidservant, for your hireling and for your guest, those sojourning with you,
7 for your domestic beast and for the wild animal which are in your land; all its yield shall be for eating.
