2 Hark, you heavens! And give ear, O earth! For Yahweh speaks! Sons I bring up and exalt, yet they, they transgress against Me."
3 The bull knows his owner, and the ass the crib of his possessors, yet Israel does not know Me, and My people do not consider Me."
4 Woe, nation of sin! People heavy with depravity! Seed of evil doers! Sons of ruiners! They forsake Yahweh. They spurn the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged, going back."
5 For what are you being smitten still? You are continuing in stubbornness. All of the head is ill, and all of the heart languishes."
