Brenton^{(i) 5} From the day when I brought up my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city of all the tribes of Israel, to build a house that my name should be there; neither did I choose a man to be a leader over my people Israel. ⁶ But I chose Jerusalem that my name should be there; and I chose David to be over my people Israel.
