John 19:21-27

Bishops(i) 21 Then sayde the hye priestes of the Iewes to Pilate, Write not kyng of the Iewes: but, that he sayde, I am kyng of the Iewes 22 Pilate aunswered: What I haue written, that haue I written 23 Then the souldiers, when they had crucified Iesus, toke his garmentes, (& made foure partes, to euery souldier a part) and also his coate. The coate was without seame, wouen from the toppe throughout 24 They sayde therefore among them selues: Let vs not deuide it, but caste lottes for it, who shal haue it. That the scripture myght be fulfylled, saying: They parted my rayment among the, & for my coate dyd they cast lottes. And the souldiers dyd such thynges in deede 25 There stoode by the crosse of Iesus his mother, and his mothers sister, Marie the wyfe of Cleophas, and Marie Magdalene 26 Whe Iesus therfore sawe his mother and the disciple standyng by, whom he loued, he saith vnto his mother: Woman, beholde thy sonne 27 Then sayde he to the disciple, beholde thy mother. And from that houre, the disciple toke her vnto his owne
