Acts 21:8-14

Bishops(i) 8 And the next daye, they that were of Paules companie departed, and came vnto Cesarea: And we entred into the house of Philip the Euangelist (which was one of the seuen) and abode with hym 9 And the same man had foure daughters, virgins, which dyd prophesie 10 And as we taryed there a good many of dayes, there came a certaine prophete from Iurie, named Agabus 11 And when he was come vnto vs, he toke Paules girdle, & bounde his owne handes and feete, & sayde: Thus sayth the holy ghost, so shall the Iewes at Hierusalem bynde the man that oweth this girdle, and shall delyuer hym into the handes of the gentiles 12 And when we hearde these thynges, both we and other whiche were of the same place, besought him that he would not go vp to Hierusalem 13 Then Paule aunswered: What do ye weepyng and vexyng myne heart? For I am redy, not to be bounde only, but also to dye at Hierusalem for the name of the Lorde Iesu 14 And when we coulde not turne his mynde, we ceassed, saying: the wyll of the Lorde be fulfylled
