9 This man heard Paul speaking, who having looked intently at him and having seen that he has faith to be healed,
10 said in a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” And he sprang up and began to walk.
11 And the crowds having seen what Paul had done, lifted up their voice in Lycaonian saying, “The gods have come down to us, having become like men.”
12 And Barnabas, they began calling Zeus; and Paul, Hermes, because he was the leading speaker.
13 And the priest of Zeus, being just outside the city, having brought oxen and wreaths to the gates, was desiring with the crowds to sacrifice.
14 But the apostles Barnabas and Paul having heard, having torn their garments, rushed out into the crowd, crying out
15 and saying, “Men, why do you do these things? We also are men of like nature with you, proclaiming the gospel to you, to turn from these vanities to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all the things in them,
