1 John 4:20-5:2 If anyone should say, “I love God,” and should hate his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother, whom he has seen, is not able to love God, whom he has not seen.

BLB⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁰ If anyone should say, “I love God,” and should hate his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother, whom he has seen, is not able to love God, whom he has not seen. ²¹ And this commandment we have from Him, that the one loving God should love his brother also. ⁵ ¹ Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone loving the One having begotten Him also loves the one having been begotten from Him. ² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
