3 Οἱ (-) γὰρ (For) Φαρισαῖοι (the Pharisees) καὶ (and) πάντες (all) οἱ (the) Ἰουδαῖοι (Jews), ἐὰν (if) μὴ (not) πυγμῇ (carefully) νίψωνται (they wash) τὰς (the) χεῖρας (hands), οὐκ (not) ἐσθίουσιν (eat), κρατοῦντες (holding) τὴν (the) παράδοσιν (tradition) τῶν (of the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders);
