John 1:21-23 Καὶ (And) ἠρώτησαν (they asked) αὐτόν (him), “Τί (What) οὖν (then)? σὺ (You) Ἠλίας (Elijah) εἶ (are)?” Καὶ (And) λέγει (he says), “Οὐκ (Not) εἰμί (I am).” “Ὁ (The) προφήτης (prophet) εἶ (are) σύ (you)?” Καὶ (And) ἀπεκρίθη (he answered), “Οὔ (No).”

BIB⁽ⁱ⁾ ²¹ Καὶ (And) ἠρώτησαν (they asked) αὐτόν (him), “Τί (What) οὖν (then)? σὺ (You) Ἠλίας (Elijah) εἶ (are)?” Καὶ (And) λέγει (he says), “Οὐκ (Not) εἰμί (I am).” “Ὁ (The) προφήτης (prophet) εἶ (are) σύ (you)?” Καὶ (And) ἀπεκρίθη (he answered), “Οὔ (No).” ²² Εἶπαν (They said) οὖν (therefore) αὐτῷ (to him), “Τίς (Who) εἶ (are you)? ἵνα (That) ἀπόκρισιν (an answer) δῶμεν (we might give) τοῖς (to those) πέμψασιν (having sent) ἡμᾶς (us); τί (what) λέγεις (say you) περὶ (about) σεαυτοῦ (yourself)?” ²³ Ἔφη (He was saying), “Ἐγὼ (I am) φωνὴ (a voice) βοῶντος (crying) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἐρήμῳ (wilderness), ‘Εὐθύνατε (Make straight) τὴν (the) ὁδὸν (way) Κυρίου (of the Lord),’” καθὼς (as) εἶπεν (said) Ἠσαΐας (Isaiah) ὁ (the) προφήτης (prophet).
