22 ἀποθέσθαι (Are to have put off) ὑμᾶς (you), κατὰ (concerning) τὴν (the) προτέραν (former) ἀναστροφὴν (way of life), τὸν (the) παλαιὸν (old) ἄνθρωπον (man), τὸν (which) φθειρόμενον (is being corrupted), κατὰ (according to) τὰς (its) ἐπιθυμίας (desires) τῆς (-) ἀπάτης (of deceit),
23 ἀνανεοῦσθαι (to be renewed) δὲ (then) τῷ (in the) πνεύματι (spirit) τοῦ (of the) νοὸς (mind) ὑμῶν (of you),
24 καὶ (and) ἐνδύσασθαι (to have put on) τὸν (the) καινὸν (new) ἄνθρωπον (man), τὸν (-) κατὰ (according to) Θεὸν (God) κτισθέντα (having been created) ἐν (in) δικαιοσύνῃ (righteousness) καὶ (and) ὁσιότητι (holiness) τῆς (-) ἀληθείας (of truth).
25 Διὸ (Therefore) ἀποθέμενοι (having put off) τὸ (-) ψεῦδος (falsehood), λαλεῖτε (let speak) ἀλήθειαν (truth) ἕκαστος (each one) μετὰ (with) τοῦ (the) πλησίον (neighbor) αὐτοῦ (of him), ὅτι (because) ἐσμὲν (we are) ἀλλήλων (of one another) μέλη (members).
26 “Ὀργίζεσθε (Be angry), καὶ (and yet) μὴ (not) ἁμαρτάνετε (sin).” ὁ (The) ἥλιος (sun) μὴ (not) ἐπιδυέτω (let set) ἐπὶ (upon) [τῷ] (-) παροργισμῷ (anger) ὑμῶν (of you);
27 μηδὲ (neither) δίδοτε (give) τόπον (opportunity) τῷ (to the) διαβόλῳ (devil).
28 Ὁ (The one) κλέπτων (stealing), μηκέτι (no longer) κλεπτέτω (let him steal); μᾶλλον (rather) δὲ (however) κοπιάτω (let him toil), ἐργαζόμενος (working) ταῖς (with the) ἰδίαις (own) χερσὶν (hands) τὸ (what) ἀγαθόν (is good), ἵνα (so that) ἔχῃ (he may have something) μεταδιδόναι (to impart) τῷ (to the one) χρείαν (need) ἔχοντι (having).
29 Πᾶς (Any) λόγος (word) σαπρὸς (unwholesome) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) στόματος (mouth) ὑμῶν (of you) μὴ (not) ἐκπορευέσθω (let go forth), ἀλλὰ (but) εἴ (if) τις (any) ἀγαθὸς (good) πρὸς (for) οἰκοδομὴν (edification) τῆς (of the) χρείας (need), ἵνα (so that) δῷ (it may give) χάριν (grace) τοῖς (to those) ἀκούουσιν (hearing).
30 Καὶ (And) μὴ (not) λυπεῖτε (grieve) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) τὸ (-) Ἅγιον (Holy) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ἐν (in) ᾧ (whom) ἐσφραγίσθητε (you were sealed) εἰς (for) ἡμέραν (the day) ἀπολυτρώσεως (of redemption).
31 Πᾶσα (All) πικρία (bitterness), καὶ (and) θυμὸς (rage), καὶ (and) ὀργὴ (anger), καὶ (and) κραυγὴ (clamor), καὶ (and) βλασφημία (slander), ἀρθήτω (let be removed) ἀφ’ (from) ὑμῶν (you), σὺν (along with) πάσῃ (all) κακίᾳ (malice).
