ABU(i)
For this cause I say to you, take not thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment?
Behold the birds of the air, that they sow not, nor reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?
And which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They toil not, nor spin;
and I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
And if God so clothes the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will he not much more you, ye of little faith?
Take not thought therefore, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewith shall we be clothed?
For after all these do the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these.
But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these shall be added to you.
Take not thought, therefore, for the morrow; for the morrow will take thought for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
