ABU(i)
56 Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
57 And crying out with a loud voice, they stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord;
58 and having cast him out of the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid off their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul,
59 and stoned Stephen, calling and saying: Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And kneeling down, he cried with a loud voice: Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And saying this, he fell asleep.
8 1 AND Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day there arose a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and all were scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
3 But Saul laid waste the church, entering house after house, and dragging both men and women, committed them to prison.
